Special Post about my ideas for tidy up rooms in a nice way !

 I use everything I can to hide, toys, books, table linen, bottles of wine, etc... I, unfortunately do not have photos of all my handbags too,  also full of scarves, gloves ... I even use the fish tank to fill up with fruits ! Any kind of support can be used. Here are some examples of my fussiness ! in a good way as the house is quite full of ... people and stuff.

Il était une fois PETERSHAM NURSERIES

Bonjour, 

Aujourd'hui dimanche gris et pluvieux à Londres et je décide d'écrire ce post en français pour mes compatriotes qui préfèrent lire en français qu'en anglais. 

Et bien évidemment on sent la fin de l'été mais surtout l'arrivée de l'hiver avec ses jours très courts et les jardins en déclin. 

Je  vais donc vous parler et faire découvrir un endroit que j'adore : 

il s'agit de "Petersham Nurseries" à Richmond. 

C'est un lieu (Jardinerie en fançais) superbement mis en valeur par la variété de fleurs mais aussi et surtout par une mise en scène à la fois simple et réfléchie, organisée avec des matériaux authentiques et vieillis comme s'ils avaient toujours été placés ici. 

Le mobilier qui est présenté est composé essentiellement de bancs, de tables en teck, fer forgé, ou pin vieilli, rétro, antique,  se fondant parfaitement avec la flore qui l'entoure.

 Les pots ou accessoires (art de la table compris) sont aussi réalisés dans des matières nobles comme le granit, l'argile, terra cota, porcelaine, faience, etc... 

Pour finir, vous avez la possibilité de vous arrêter pour boire un thé avec une de ces délicieuses pâtisseries maison dans le café Petersham, ou si vous avez réservé, vous pouvez dîner dans son  fameux restaurant,  localisé dans le même lieu, une cuisine raffinée et préparée par le  chef Greg Malouf.

Si vous passez par Londres, faites un détour, vous ne le regretterez pas.

TWENTY YEARS AGO ...

Bonjour à toutes, 

I hope you enjoyed your WE wherever you were.

Before I invite you to more inside/out of my Home, I would like to share some more photos about the lovely Christian Dior Wedding dress I showed you last week. 

Obviously, some of you wanted to see how I looked in that dress !

Here we are ... What do you think ? 

  

Inside the Salon Haute Couture during the fittings... I still have very good memories of those moments. Absolutely Magic ! It  was so much happiness and all my colleagues  were so adorable all along, they all made suggestions. Bernard Dupuy who was in charge of the workshop "flou" for Dior made the dress with his "Petites Mains" as we call them. When I was working there as Press Assistant in the P.R. Department, he was always telling me "Roselyne, the day you decide to get married, I would like to make your dress". It was so charming !!! And he did very well.

Obviously, the quality of the photos is not very good 

And a few more with Mr R. also dressed by Christian Dior Homme (as Dominique Morlotti as the Designer for Dior Homme 20 years ago)

Anyway, all I can say tonight is, if you have the choice between a ready-to-wear dress or a bespoke dress, go for the second choice.... Tell me you story about your own wedding dress.

MY CHRISTIAN DIOR WEDDING DRESS

Hello everybody, hope you had a lovely sunny week. I wanted to share some photos of my Wedding dress made in the workshop of Christian Dior as I was working at the Press Office at that time (1992). Yes 20th Anniversary ! As my daughter said "Lovely vintage dress" ... Not sure about "vintage". What do you think ? Have a lovely Week end. Roselyne
