Coté vacances - la Grêce vue du Club Mediterrannée - Holidays in GREECE

Bonjour à tous / Hi everybody,

Very difficult to feed a blog during Summer.
Following a very very wet, grey, cold Spring,
we decided to go to Greece for Summer holiday.
And chose the CLUB MEDITERANEE
as a way of spending the 2 weeks the "Boss of the castle" gets from work .
He wanted something you cannot be disappointed with.
Direction GREGOLIMANO
on the Island of Evia (Greece)
It was our 2nde time we chose the Club.
I was not very enthusiastic.
I am not a Club fan, but I have to say it was fantastic.

1 - The place was surrounded by water and mountains ... So exclusive place.
No jet ski, no boats, just us and the sailing boats from the club, or from the ski nautique.
From Athen, you take a luxury bus for  2,5 hours and a boat for 30 minutes which is very nice.

Cocktail on the Pier one evening

                                                                  Clear warm water

                                                                  Shades for the afternoon rests.

2 - Activities - Sports : Everything is just here for you : tennis courts, archery, waterskiing, sailing, catamaran, flying trapeze, fitness, beach volleyball, spa, swimming poo, petanque, sportive walk, jogging... all with the lovely assistance of the G.O (Gentil Organisateur / Nice Tutors).

Pauline and his dad at the waterskiing

Archery
                                                            Demonstaration of trapeze

                                                                   Snorkling from a boat  -

Phoque
Tennis

3 - Food - It's all inclusive. You do not have to hand money for your food (4 meals/day or more with gouters, aperititves), your drinks all day long and night (wine, alcohol ...). It was paid with the booking.
Once a week, white evening on the beach ... Gorgeous !
Very professional ...

4 - Lots of funny dances, it's dance time all day long and everybody dance, even us ...

5 - Exploring the outside Club.

Visiting the village of St Georges .

Fisherman killing an octopus ... for sale later .

Everything has an END.
All the team saying goodbye !

The luggage on one boat and ..................................................     the tourists on another one !

Have you been with Club Med already ?
Did you like it ?
Lots of love

Hi !

Golf is like when I was working for Christian Dior,
I feel like "posh" or "snob", but the thing is :
I am not.
I just started golf when I was 30 years old,
bachelor, working @Dior,
and I decided to go to "Iles Caraîbes" with U.C.P.A.

http://www.ucpa-vacances.com
UCPA (Union des Centres Sportifs de Plein Air) is a non-profit French organization that makes outdoor sports holidays available for people of ages 7–39. Formed in 1965, it is a union of government bodiessports federations and youth associations. About 250,000 people travel with UCPA annually.
UCPA has three areas of operation:
  • sports holidays
  • recreation sports outreach
  • vocational training for careers in sport
UCPA is mainly located in France, but is also present in some fifty countries around the world.

I first registered,
to do some kite-surf but once arrived,
I told them I was not a good swimmer at all.
So I swap with another girl and decided to go for golf instead.
I ... just.... loved it.
I knew nothing about golf.
I, even put, my club in the opposite side to play !!!
But, I played full day for 2 weeks there and came back, bought
a set of clubs, a car (Mini Rover) to play around Paris every W.E.
I was in love with golf...
And ...
I met my husband through golf as well !
Very funny.
Anyway, life went on, with 3 children, and we put golf on side for few years.
But, since our  last "piou-piou" is 10 years, we started to play again.
And I have to play more, and more,
to have fun when I play
and trust me, it is not
that easy.
But I still like it and try to follow my boys
to share that nice sport.
It is a very pleasant environment, but also a good way to learn
the patience, and how to control yourself.

Lost ball already ? Bad luck .

We are pleased as we found
a nice family Golf Course nearby.
And we can enjoy more.

Golf is also about spending time
with your children, friends, colleagues,etc...
in a peaceful environment. It is very refreshing.
You do not need to have the exact same level. That is important too.
To play 9 holes, you are doing exercise for 1h 30 / 2h and 4 hours for 18 holes.
So... if you have the opportunity to play during holidays
Just have a go,
You can love it !
Have a nice summer !

SAVOURY CAKES or CAKES SALES

Lol

EVEREST IN JULY 2013

Hi,

Today, I am,
in front of my MacBookPro
to talk to you about my anxiety...
Yes, I am... anxious.
My oldest daughter, Alice (here with her little brother)

is climbing Everest in July
from Katmandu - Lukla airport 2 800 m to
(base Camp and after 5 800 m) !

I know, it is a fantastic experience, and such a nice way to do it.
Walking for a Charity called "Childreach International".
She raised £ 1 600 +
http://www.childreach.org.uk

Childreach International are a UK registered grass roots charity. We work in partnership with local communities in the developing world to help improve children’s access to health, education and child’s rights and protection, to help them unlock their full potential in life. We currently have projects in India, Nepal, Pakistan, Tanzania, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Cambodia, Peru, China and Bangladesh with more than 300,000 beneficiaries to date.
We believe that all children have the right to:
  •   Enough food, clean water and shelter
  •   A good education
  •   A reliable health service
  •   A right to live in a loving environment without fear of abuse or violence
We aim to help as many children as we can through sustainable funding, obtained with the help of people like you. As a charity, we believe that if you dedicate your time, energy and enthusiasm towards our cause then we should give you something life changing and memorable in return and this is where our ‘Challenge Events’ fit in!
Alice is 20 years old !
Perfect time, before getting in the work life or become a Mum !
I know,  and I helped her, as much as I can, to be part of this project.
Nevertheless,
it is a long and difficult trip.
Everything, at every stage can happen.
What do you think ?
Should I be more relaxed ?
Do you know or have you ever experienced that ?

Any comment who could reassure me will be very welcomed.

WARM INTERIOR ATMOSPHERE ( Photos from Sarah HOGAN).

Shades of gold, terra-cotta, grey and white materials
give a warm atmosphere to these rooms.
I like the way Sarah Hogan
framed her photos to give stronger effects to the furniture,
or accessories.
Well done Sarah
I like it so much.
And you ? What do you think ? Do you like it ?
Have a lovely evening !

Ambiance Chalet !
Ah ... the cake is ready .... I must go.
Enjoy the lovely sunny day.

BE COMPLETELY INSPIRED BY "SHARE"

Hi everybody,

Very difficult to be present on my Blog as much as I would.
"May " has been very busy ... and very demanding
and "June" is, for me, the busiest month of the year
with December.
Anyway, when I discovered
that book below, I fell very very very privileged
and decided to not complain ever, about my agenda anymore !
Here is a book of cooking ...
"A cookbook that celebrates our common humanity"
By Women for Women International
who is bringing positive change to women
in countries where war and conflict has devastated lives and communities.
It is a beautiful, well presented with photos of people living in
Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Democratic republic of Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan,
Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina...

Renowned Chefs, humanitarians and philanthropists participate
 to this fantastic book .
Here is a recipe of

And also, for the different countries (communities)
you have a women who tells her story
and how she could rebuilt her  life
 with "Women for Women International".

I encourage you
 to have this book
in your kitchen
but also in your sitting room.
And if you have a daughter,
share this book with her too.
It is very touching and nice too.

Have a good week

Hommage à une maman

Elle aura 90 ans demain,
le 29 mai
après avoir eu 9 enfants
d'un unique mariage.
Rare aujourd'hui...

Marie-Rose,
Maman,
nous a réunis ce WE
pour fêter avec elle
cet Anniversaire peu ordinaire.
a emporté trop jeune.
Love you !

CARAVAN RESTAURANT & Bar

Baked eggs with chorizo and cream sur une ratatouille

18 ans,
Bon Anniversaire
et profite bien de tes prochaines années.
Vous rappelez-vous de vos 18 ans ?
Bonne semaine !
