My daughter, Pauline, just came back from
3 weeks in Tanzania
where she volunteered in a hospital.
These 2 photos show her in an orphanage.
Her first text from there was "Mum, it's hard",
the 2nd is "Mum, it's very hard"...
Thankfully, she enjoyed working with the babies.
She helped in the "Delivery ward"
and be very aware of those little babies
who entered the world in such difficult conditions.
Once, she delivered two babies on her own... She loved it.
She went there with "Gapmedics" organisation.
Many medical students are welcome to go to shadow doctors
in the world.
It was a very good experience for her.
It could have been traumatic,
as it is such a different world.
They need all our attention.
We are so lucky to been born
where we did.
Sooo lucky...
